Melbourne paragliding is a Melbourne based SAFA approved Flight Training Facility providing Paragliding Tandem Flights, Full Licence Courses, Advanced XC Courses, Skydiving and HG to Paragliding Conversion Courses, Licence upgrades, Tandem Pilot courses, Speedwing endorsements, and much more. We are flying both coastal and inland, giving you best of both worlds. Flying in the greater Melbourne area is done at sites on the Mornington Peninsula (Portsea, Cairns Bay, Flinders), inland hills close to Yea (Flowerdale, Mt. Broughton), and the Alpine region (Bright, Kiewa Valley). Apart from that low training slopes for our students first training paragliding flights are used. Find course dates and locations below. Paragliding looks like a relatively simple sport to learn and easy to get into. The reality is not quite so easy. This is a high consequence flying activity and as such regulated by CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) and SAFA (Sports Aviation Federation of Australia). The Licence Course goes over 9 days, within which you can attain a SAFA PG2 Licence. The licence allows you to fly solo (but under supervision) at any novice rated site anywhere in Australia and Internationally. Alternatively you can simply book a Tandem Flight to see whether flying like an eagle might be something for you. Safety is our priority but we also remember that people fly paragliders to feel free and to feel alive. The two aspects go hand in hand... To truly enjoy the freedom of flight one needs to reach a high enough skill level, enabling the pilot to relax while continually navigate through the air in a safe and responsible manner. 9 DAYS LICENCE COURSE Dates:
